You need to be medically fit to dive. There is a Diver Particiant Medical form that you need to complete and all being well you can self-certify, and if not you will need to be medically assessed by a physician before you can go scuba diving.
Yes please. It is always best to book in advance so we can ensure that we have availablity for you.
All divers and snorkelers need to bring with them: their swimwear, towel and sun protection, along with their passport number.
Certified divers also need to bring their diver certification cards and their insurance details.
The minimum age for scuba diving in the sea is 10 years old. There is no maximum age, however you need to be medically fit to dive. Insurance policies may have an age requirement for divers to be medically signed off by a physician, for example 70 years of age.
Yes, you need to be able to swim and ideally be comfortable in the sea.
Under Spanish law, which covers the Canary Islands and Lanzarote, every diver must have adequate personal accident and third party liabilty insurance. If you are learning to dive with Lanzarote Dive Centre or doing a try scuba diving experience with us, then you are covered by our dive centre policy.
You may already have cover under your travel insurance policy, please check it to make sure that the diving or courses you are planning on doing whilst here are covered; policy wording can sometimes surprise you.
Yes, you can buy insurance from us that meets Spanish law requirements and provides worldwide cover. We offer short term polices such as a day, week or month as well as an annual policy.
No, your BSAC insurance does not provide adequate cover becasue it only covers third party liabilty and not personal accident cover.
Lanzarote is great to dive all year round with warm waters and loads of marine life! Large Grouper, Butterfly Rays, Eagle Rays and shoals of barracuda and tuna are regularly seen through out the year along with the reef fish, octopi, cuttelfish, nudibranchs, corals and much much more!
Between October and May we are visted by the endangered Angel Sharks who come here annually to breed and give birth in the sandy shallows around Puerto del Carmen.

There is lots of suitable accommodation within 5-10mins walk of the dive centre. Popular choices include the BelleVue Aquarius and Agua Marina apartment hotels, along with the 3 star THB Flora Hotel.
Lanzarote has its own Hyperbaric Chamber located in the capital city of Arrecife, only 10km away.
Puerto del Carmen has plenty of beaches, a couple of shopping centres, an open air cinema, as well as bars and restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines from Italian to Thai and Polish to Vegan.
There are excursions to Timmanfaya volcano, you can visit the Ceasar Manrique Museum or La Geria, the wine region of the island.
From the Puerto del Carmen harbour, where the dive centre is located, you can hop on the Water Taxi to/from Puerto Calero, to enjoy the sea views as you make your way to the next marina along the coast.
