The SSI XR Technical Extended Range course is all about learning how to safely plan and conduct decompression dives up to 60m!
The course can be taught without using helium in the gas mix to a maximum certification depth of 50m. When taught using Trimix, the maximum
certification depth is 60m. You can always upgrade to Trimix at a later time to gain the extra 10m for a maximum certification depth of 60m.
On this course you will learn how to plan and conduct two-gas switch, multiple-stop decompression dives to a maximum depth
of 50m or 60m when diving on trimix, using decompression gas mixtures up to 100% oxygen, when diving with an equally qualified or more qualified
dive buddy. You will be in either a twinset of technical sidemount configuration with 2 decompression stage cylinders.

I am an SSI XR Technical Extended Range Diver without Trimix. How do I upgrade?

What's next?
Become a Gas Blender (Nitrox / Trimix) and understand more about deco gases and learn how to safely blend nitrox and trimix in our state of the art compression room.
Why not learn to dive on a rebreather to extend your diving times and minimise your decompression obligation.
Where can I learn to dive on a rebreather?
You can learn to dive on an eCCR SF2 rebreather here at Lanzarote Dive Centre. Not sure, then why not book a rebreather try dive on the SF2.
