This is one of the best dives sites in Puerto Del Carmen. Tinosa was the original name of the what is now Puerto del Carmen harbour. Take a short boat ride out from the harbour south towards Puerto Calero and you'll soon find yourself mooring up on the buoy at Punta Tinosa.
On this boat dive you can explore the shallow volcanic formations and many lave tongues teaming with marine life before dropping over onto the reef wall. The reef wall is home to shoals of bream, salema and more and often Rays and Angel Sharks will be seen flying past.
Go one way and you'll find a cave to explore, go the other way and there's a small wreck to discover. Finish your dive by coming back onto the top of the reef. Here you can explore betweeen the lave tongues as you make your way back shallower for your safety stop before finally heading back up to the boat.
